For years, I’ve had one overwhelming goal.
Which is to create enough value in the world that I have a net worth of $50 million dollars by the time I turn 25.
This goal has shaped every major and minor decision since I was 19.
Why so much? Why this amount exactly?
For you to understand, I have to take you back in time. To a very dark point in my life.
I’ve written about this period of losing a sense of direction and being miserable in school.
Well after I quit, it was like the Israelites leaving slavery in Egypt only to enter the harsh unforgiving desert.
For the first time in my life, I was completely outside the influence of my social groups. In school, you can always know what to do by benchmarking against your peers.
But now, it was just me.
I had to set my own standards or fail.
And I didn’t know what exactly I would do. I only knew that I would try to make money online, preferably through writing.
To do this I practiced writing every day. Enduring the look of pity and confusion I got from my parents.
To them, I was throwing away opportunities they never had.
I was determined to do whatever it took to succeed.
I cut out every interaction that wouldn’t move me forward. I stayed at home and did nothing but read and write from dawn till midnight for weeks.
I would jolt to wake by 4 am with the anxiety of a middle-aged man with a family of six and debts to pay.
And just start reading or writing.
Everything was on the line.
Months passed and I still hadn’t made any money online. Then a year and not even a dollar.
I knew it wouldn’t be easy forging this new path. But I didn’t believe it would be this difficult.
It seemed apparent to everyone that I had made a big mistake. But I only grew more desperate and determined as time passed.
The intensity burned within me.
In this period of darkness, one day I had a dream.
A possible future
In this dream, I was buying a large house and I remembered thinking,
“Can I afford this?”
And then the thought that I was worth $50m just popped into my head and I relaxed.
If you’ve had a vivid dream before you know you can’t distinguish it from reality. For all intents and purposes, I felt precisely what it would mean to have that much money.
I knew it as clear as day.
And then I heard someone screaming my name…and I was jolted back to this reality.
My mother was calling.
It was 6 am, raining, cold and miserable and I had to go do house chores.
A perfect inversion of the dream of freedom and wealth I just had.
I entered the rain that day and vowed I’d do everything in my power to make that dream a reality.
Nature would not tempt me so easily.
I would give my entire life for this goal. To turn my current reality into something wonderful.
Keep in mind that when I had this dream I still had not made even $1 online.
But the fire was lit.
I needed direction and purpose and here it came in the form of a crazy dream.
I had glimpsed a different life and maybe—just maybe—it could be real if only I had the courage to try.
Since that day I’ve done so many different things it’s now comical—writing novels, writing blogs, digital product design, doing films, making music, and building apps.
I’ve flipped from hobby to career to fun to confusion.
Yet one thing continually ties all my exploits together.
I see them as valuable learning opportunities. Each would give me new insight and skills on my path of long-term value creation.
This obsession has consumed my free time and social life.
It’s dictated friends I have, where I live, and what I do.
It’s why you’re reading this now.
Suspend disbelief
And now I’ve reached the final lap.
With 6 months until October 5th when I turn 25, I am nowhere near my goal to have $50m.
Not even close.
I asked ChatGPT what it thinks about making this much money in this time frame and it told me it was impossible.
Even the AI doesn't see a path forward.
So why am I telling you this, if failure is all but certain?
Because to me nothing has changed. I will suspend disbelief because it is the most enabling thing I can do.
To proceed as if my goal is possible until the end.
If I succeed, awesome!
I’d have pulled off the impossible and capped the major driving force for more than half a decade of my life.
If I fail.
At least I’d have done so much more than I could have ever imagined without this goal.
So much more than I can put into words.
Because when you have a goal you dedicate your soul too. It simplifies a lot of the troublesome aspects of life.
When you think…
”we’re all on a floating ball hurtling through space and are going to die…”
A part of you remembers,
“…well at least I’ll achieve this first.“
A family member just died? Well here’s something to give you purpose through the darkness.
Break up with your girlfriend? Great, now you can focus more on achieving that life goal.
You get my point.
Impossible to possible
You should chase the impossible too.
Because what you think is impossible is just based on your current understanding and beliefs.
Both change with time.
The impossible can become possible.
And you just might achieve something truly—breathtakingly—amazing.
And if you fail after giving your soul to it?
You’ll emerge as someone incredible and obviously, you can always try again.
On my part, I will proceed full steam ahead.
My current plan is to grow a community centered around a catalog of content I’ll create.
To monetize my entire personality and interests.
Currently, these include:
Rapping on Spotify
Making videos on YouTube
Building a crypto app at Tada.fyi
Working on a local Web3 community
And writing on Mindvoyage
These are fragments of my personality and this newsletter reflects my thought and processes behind their creation.

If you know 100% that you will succeed, then you should do something else. Growth only comes when you do what you might fail at.
The only way to do truly spectacular things is to jump off the cliff and assemble wings before you hit the ground.
